Steaming Ahead
In other news likely to cause as much a stir as Super Mario – Days of Wonder is bringing Germany to Ticket to Ride! Or is that the other way round?  The standalone game introduces a new passengers rule, the route network previously from the Märklin edition and short and long destination tickets.

From NSKN Games

The Grass is Always Greener in Space
Roli Games’ freshman design is now available.  Pearl Lands is a sci-fi tilt of galactic dominance, war and…resource management.  It’s billed as a strategy game for gamers, but accessible enough for non-gamers, as well.

Room Enough for the Two of Them?
An interesting examination of the other crowd-funding web site, Indiegogo, and the possibilities and obstacles it faces it competing with Kickstarter…or even dethroning it…maybe…?

Tell Your Friends!
Sure, we constantly talk about how we always have to tell our friends that, no, we don’t spend our lives playing Monopoly.  So what’s one more? This is a concise and well-formed article that lays it all out in a nutshell, and an understandable one at that.  Just email it to every non-gamer that looks at you funny when you tell them about what you do in your free time. It’s a fine introduction!

I have lots of kids. Board games help me connect with them, while still retaining my sanity...relatively speaking.
