Osprey’s new role
Osprey Games and Publishing is getting into the role-playing business this November with the release of their first two RPG titles. Romance of the Perilous Land is a game of magic and adventure set in medieval England and British folklore. Paleomythic takes players a little further back in time to the stone and sorcery of the prehistoric land of Mu.

Arcane Wonders announced they will release an English edition of Smartphone, Inc., as part of the Dice Tower Essentials line and previously published by Cosmodrome Games. The economic simulation Eurogame tasks players with running a company producing smartphones back in the day when the new tech was exploding upon society.

Paizo announced they have partnered with Dized to make their rules available for Pathfinder Card Game (and a couple expansions) on the digital app for easy reference. Dized is a free platform providing access to many titles’ rules systems that’s easy to navigate and cross-reference.

The folks behind Exploding Kittens have announced the organizing of a new gaming convention in Portland, Oregon, for May 2020. The cat-themed, gamer-friendly will just concentrate on silly stunts, fun, and pure gaming. No exhibits.

According to experts
The New York Magazine recently published an article on the best 4-player board games in the hobby. Pandemic is listed the best over-all, well several other titles top the list in various categories including for beginners (Ticket to Ride) and advanced (Power Grid), to more esoteric categories like “fast-paced” (5 Minute Dungeon). Teaming up
New Jersey based Mythicos Studios and Nottingham, England, based Warlord Games are joining forces and will expand their presence with a studio in New York this October. Plans are for future development in all areas of tabletop gaming from board games to miniatures to CCGs and role-playing.
