As I write this I’m still reeling from my latest play of Battlestar Galactica. From helping the ship survive to sympathizing with the Cylons, I’m not sure which way is up anymore. Let’s get to the tabletop news while I catch my breath.

Golem No More
Golem Arcana, the digitally enhanced tabletop miniatures game, has ceased production. The final product, Durani: Champions of the Western Wind, was released last week.

Additional Funding
Cool Mini or Not has secured over $5 million in funding to create more tabletop games.

Monster Menagerie
Fifty-five D&D figures from the Forgotten Realms world will be on sale this April. WizKids is producing them in randomly sorted heroes and villains packages.

Aloha
Z-Man Games announced a new Hawaiian-themed game due this month. Haleakala is billed as an easy-to-learn, fast-paced two-player game.

Vendetta
Fantasy Flight Games has released its version of the classic party game Mafia as Mafia: Vendetta.

Fantasy Expansions
Expansions for A Game of Thrones, Elder Sign, and Talisman are expected this March from Fantasy Flight Games.

Rise of Cooperation
Since 2009, co-op games have risen 400 percent. Good overview of the board gaming hobby here.

Chtulhu Co-Op
Boardgamegeek.com announced that Pandemic: Reign of Chtulhu will debut at GenCon 2016.

Slashed
Inspired by the Friday the 13th slasher series, Last Friday will be published thanks to the partnership of Ares Games and Pendragon Game Studio. The hidden movement, hunt and deduction board game for two to six players will be out in August.

Stay on Target
Running from March 31st until June, the X-Wing Open Series features eight events in eight countries and will be the biggest X-Wing event to date, according to Fantasy Flight Games.

Go Google
I’ve been following the development of Artificial Intelligence being used to play Go and Google announced that its AI has finally defeated a Go champion. I, for one, welcome our new robot overlords.
