I wasn’t sure what to write in the face of all of the bad news lately, so I’ll just keep it simple: Stop killing each other, please.

Journey to Mordor
Expected during the fourth quarter of this year, The Lord of the Rings: Journey to Mordor from Fantasy Flight Games is “a fast-paced dice game for two to four players that puts you in the shoes of the Fellowship, racing to reach Mordor and stay one step ahead of the Ringwraiths.”

Pirate Preview
Z-Man Games previewed Merchants & Marauders: Broadsides, which is due this fall. The game is “a hand management, worker placement, combat game where a hand of cards will let you eather load your canons, or aim them at your opponent’s rigging, hull, or deck, among other actions of a given phase.”

Big Trouble
BOOM! Studios, Everything Epic, Flipside Design Studio, and 20th Century Fox Consumer Products will partner to develop and release Big Trouble in Little China The Game. Due next year, in the “cooperative, cinematic game, up to six players will play as Jack Burton and his brave friends as they venture on a mysterious quest to rescue the green-eyed beauty, defeat Lo Pan’s ancient magic, and save Chinatown from his evil minions.”

Fantasy Preview
AEG continues its preview of Guildhall Fantasy, with a look at the Wizard: “The wizard plays a lot like the Bard in some ways in that she allows you to take cards from the discard pile. Normally, you don’t really need to mind the order of the discard pile, but when using the Wizard in a game you do, as she allows you to take the top card of the discard pile and put it into play.”
