Interview with the Bamboozle Brothers
In this interview with Mojo Nation, designers Sen Foong-Lim and Jay Cormier talk about their games, their creative process, and their current work, which includes an expansion to one of my favorite two-player games, Akrotiri. “If you’ve ever wondered if there was a two player game that had a bit more crunch to it but wasn’t about war, you should definitely pick up Akrotiri. That’s probably our favorite game due to the history of it and the unique ‘treasure finding’ mechanism.”

Never Too Old to Delve Into D&D
Over on Geek & Sundry there’s a nice piece on a grandmother who’s become a regular D&D player. “’I have a hard time keeping everything straight sometimes, but I have a great group that helps me a lot. The first time Mellie used fireball was on a pirate ship that was on their way to attack the ship we were on. Mellie lit them up when they were still 50 feet out. Between that and Olenna (our Ranger) sniping with her longbow, no pirates made it aboard!’”

The Board Game Book Kickstarter recently launched and ToyNews interviewed creator Owen Duffy. “‘There is easily enough interesting new games coming out every year to fill an annual instalment and if anything, we’d like to do a bigger and more comprehensive book next year, maybe including some elements like artist showcases and games accessories.’”
