Where the Iron Horse should really roam…
Days of Wonder’s iconic Ticket to Ride is going west…to the Old West! The Play’s the thing
Filed under the category “Niche,” a new book, Playthings in Early Modernity: Party Games, Word Games, Mind Games examines games as “not merely as a pastime, a leisurely pursuit, but as a pivotal part of daily life, a strategic psychosocial endeavor.”  As the publisher’s name, Medieval Institute Publications, might suggest the collection of scholarly essays cover the Renaissance period and focus largely on Europe.
