As much as I love Broken Token and Game Trayz storage for board games, my favorite solution is the plethora of plastic containers sold at Daiso Japan.

Yamatai
Players will try to build the most prestigious capital of the kingdom in Yamatai, a new game from Bruno Cathala and Marc Paquien. Days of Wonder will release Yamatai in Europe this March, then in the U.S. this May.

Thunderstone Quest
Dice Tower News reports on the upcoming Thunderstone Quest that will be on Kickstarter next month. “One interesting confirmed piece of information is that this new set will not be compatible with previous Thunderstone cards. The new cards and dungeon tiles presumably alter the game beyond what would allow older cards to be functional, and by the description they do suggest a much more robust dungeon to explore instead of what players have been used to.”

Deadline
According to ICv2.com, Deadline is a cooperative mystery solving game from WizKids that will be released this June. “Players use Lead cards to follow clues by playing matching symbols, with each clue leading to valuable information, more clues, or possibly dead ends. At the end of the investigation, the players must answer a series of questions, rating a better score the more answers they can provide.”

Con Man
Also from ICv2.com comes news of a card game based on Alan Tudyk’s web series Con Man. “Con Man the Card Game brings the self aware series to the tabletop, with players taking the role of Wray’s acting-career friends, each with their own agenda and plan for him.” The game will be available in April.

Are You Experienced?
There’s a good short piece on the Portal Games blog about the experience of board games. “We can experience these stories together with our friends. Gather around a table and fight enemies together. Survive or die as a group. Together, we can tell stories.”
