I’ve been fortunate to have some great gaming sessions so far this year. My favorite, though, has been with my nieces and nephew. Not only is it priceless bonding time for us, but it makes me feel like a good uncle, introducing them to fun games like Dominion and Codenames. It’s a nice reminder that we’ve come a long way from Candy Land and Chutes & Ladders.

Tabletop Upgrade
I almost wish I didn’t see this one: boardgametables.com has expanded its line of gaming tables, making all of us tabletoppers drool while clicking through their website.

Pirates and Aztecs
Two new releases from Iello are now available: World of Yo-Ho, a fantasy pirate game, and Mexica, a historical strategy game.

Back Again
Splotter Spellen will be publishing new editions of two out-of-print games: Indonesia and The Great Zimbabwe. Both are expected to be available before Spiel 2016 later this year.

Seafall: A Legacy Game
Game Designer Rob Daviau’s eagerly anticipated Seafall: A Legacy Game has been delivered to Plaid Hat Games. Unfortunately, no release date has been set, but the game is that much closer to being available.

Finding Its Path
Pathfinder Adventures, the digital version of the popular Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, is finally being released on iOS and Android. March 29th is the big day.

Increased Positivity
Great to see more positive representations of women in board games.

Chainmail
A look back at Chainmail, the fantasy wargame system that led to Dungeons & Dragons.

Tichu Turns 25
The top trick-taking card game on boardgamegeek.com, Tichu has reached its 25th year of publication. The Opinionated Gamers take a look at the game and its continuing popularity.
