I just realized we’re less than 150 days until the premiere of Rogue One! I’d say this space will be Star-Wars-free until then, but I don’t like to lie.

Mansions of Madness Returns
The second edition of Mansions of Madness hits stores August 4th and it will be an app-driven version. “While the haunting spirit of the classic favorite remains the same, Mansions of Madness Second Edition’s innovative app takes a new and unique approach the sinister Arkham universe. In removing the need for a Keeper player, the app enables you to play a fully cooperative game, and shrouds each scenario’s randomized secrets in complete and utter darkness.”

Duel Expansion
7 Wonders Duel: Pantheon, the first expansion to 7 Wonders Duel, “brings the gods of the ancient world” into the two-player game. Players “can now seek the favor of deities from five different ancient cultures and bring them together to watch over your city. You might even build your patron gods and goddesses lavish temples to dwell in, or dedicate to them one of the expansion’s two new Wonders.” The game will hit the shelves in the fourth quarter of this year.

The Force Awakened
Expected next month from Fantasy Flight Games: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, a roleplaying game geared toward novices. “When you play The Force Awakens The Beginner Game, your goal is to enjoy an immersive and collaborative storytelling experience within the Star Wars universe. Along with the other heroes, you arrive to Jakku in the middle of a dramatic situation rife with possibility, and your choices may have far-reaching consequences.”

Legendary Inventors
Demos of Legendary Inventors will be happening at Gen Con next week and Asmodee reports that the game will be available later this year. “In Legendary Inventors, a game for two to five players, you are in charge of a team of four inventors of great renown. Direct your team to complete magnificent new inventions to gain rewards and notoriety, and help your inventors achieve even greater inventive feats by pushing them to gain more knowledge and broaden their skills. “

Crush Your Enemies
After Kickstarter copies have been fulfilled, expect Asmodee’s full release of Conan during the fourth quarter of this year. “Featuring an asymmetrical design that thrusts one to four players into action against the Overlord and his minions, Conan leaps with both feet into the deep end of its fast-paced, scenario-based adventures. You may play as Conan, swinging your blade through skulls of your enemies. You may play as one of his companions, calling upon powerful spells or plying your skills as a thief. Or you may play as the Overlord, using your minion hordes to wear down the heroes in order to defeat them and advance your schemes.”

Tiny Epic Quest
Gamelyn Games recently posted the box art of the upcoming Tiny Epic Quest and an overview of the game: “In Tiny Epic Quest, each player controls a band of 3 elf heroes, that’s why we see three elves on this cover. They go on numerous quests traveling all over the world, trying to fight goblins, acquire items, and learn ancient magic. In the end, the players who excelled the most in these areas get extra rewards.”
