After a two-month hiatus, I resumed my Pandemic Legacy campaign and if there’s one thing I’ve learned (don’t worry, no spoilers here), it’s to reread the rulebook before restarting the game. My group missed a good handful of rules before getting back into the swing of things.

Aye Aye
Asmodee reports that two versions of Aye, Dark! Overlord are in development. Aye, Dark Overlord! The Red Box is a re-release of the 2005 fantasy party game, while Aye, Dark Overlord! The Green Box “includes new actions and an entirely new set of Hint cards featuring the hilarious and stunning artwork of Italian comic artist Riccardo Crosa.” Both versions can be played as a standalone or mixed together.

Fundraising in the UK
A 24-hour gaming marathon takes place next month across the pond. Gamer Tom Freeman organized the Sick Kids Save Paint event to benefit the Edinburgh’s Royal Hospital for Sick Children. “Participants can take part on a console, computer, mobile phone, on social media or by playing board games, and can do so as part of a team or on their own. Entry is free, and participants are asked to tweet updates using the hashtag #sksp on Twitter during the marathon.”

On the Coast
A reporter at vice.com spent the day at the Wizards of the Coast offices, aka the home of Dungeons & Dragons. “During our lunch break at a small tavern in Renton, I chatted with several other WotC employees and got a great sense of the company. People love their jobs here, but it isn’t all sunshine.”
