Not the starships you are looking for…or are they…?
Ares Games announced they will preview their upcoming Battlestar Galactica: Starship Battles this GenCon. The spaceships miniature tactical game is designed by the same team as the company’s popular lines Wings of Glory and Sails of Glory.

Queen and the Nile
Queen Games will release Luxor: Forgotten Treasures in August. The Rüdiger Dorn design challenges players to race through the tomb of the Pharaoh and collect as many treasures along the way.

The halls of Valhalla
Endless Pass: A Viking Saga is now available from Wizkids. The card game pits players as Nordic warriors fighting Endless monsters in The Pass.  Be the the last fighter standing or earn the most glory. Either way, Valhalla awaits!

Next month Renegade Game Studios will release Altiplano, the thinky bag-building design of fishing, mining and production in a less-than-ideal environment. Can you prosper on the plateau?

New T.I.M.E. Stories
Asmodee announced a new expansion for T.I.M.E. Stories to release in the 3rd quarter 2018.  Can you travel back to the Brotherhood of the Coast and solve the mystery?

This week Quick Simple Fun Games releases De Stijl, an abstract card-laying design about an old Dutch abstract art/architecture style.

Empyreal preview
Level 99 Games previews its train engines in their upcoming project, Empyreal: Spells & Steam, a steampunk pick-up and deliver game announced late last year.

ACD teams up with Haywire
Haywire Group has signed with ACD to release and distribute four titles this month. The family and kids games publisher will push out titles Shaboom!, Mars Needs Heroes, Pirate Ships and Beekeeper.

Kickstarter fraud
Malaysian and Singapore press and authorities are investigating a case in which giant Southeast Asian distributor Boarders Tabletop Game Studio has allegedly absconding with thousands of dollars in Kickstarter funds and products. It’s unsure at this time how much of the fiasco is miscommunication, bad business, mistakes or outright illegal activity.
