Putting you – and it – to the test!
Paizo is now seeking playtesters for their just released Doomsday Dawn, a sort of beta version of the revised edition of Pathfinder 2.0. Playtesting goes through the end of the year and if you have the dedicated group and the resolve to provide constructive advice, they’re looking for your input!

Another merger
Stronghold Games and Indie Boards & Cards announced they have merged.  The new Indie Game Studios will manage both entities, as well as Action Phase Games, which IBC acquired in 2016.  Steven Buonocore will continue to run Stronghold while Travis Worthington handles the other two, of course with broad collaboration.  Each entity will maintain its own presence on the market and at shows, as well.

I may be bad, but I feel good
Wonder Forge’s Disney Villainous is now available. Assume the persona and evil schemes of your favorite iconic bad guys and gals in this hand management action selection design, of course with plenty of “take that!”

More than just two
Next month Thames & Kosmos will release Lost Cities: Rivals. The updated design takes Reiner Knizia’s two-player classic card game and molds it to a four-player experience while retaining the core and elegance of the original.

Drinks on you?
Red Dragon Inn 7: The Tavern Crew will be available next month from Slugfest Games. The standalone expansion to the hit series features four exciting new characters with which to try and drink others under the table…and then steal their stuff when they pass out!

Hot of the presses
Quined Games announced their new board game Counterfeiters. Make money – literally – and turn it into the real thing before the police complete their investigation. Complete with anthropomorphic animal crime lords!

As you wish
The successfully funded Princess Bride RPG from Toy Vault will release to retail next month. Based on the “Fudge” system, the title will be available in regular and deluxe editions.

This month North Star Games releases the tile-laying  strategy design Warsaw: City of Ruins. Return the capital to its glory days before the two world wars by rebuilding its infrastructure, business and culture!

Shaping up
Jellybean Games will release Show and Tile next month. In this unique party game, players draw a word and then build a picture using simple tangrams to get others to guess their design!

It’s a jungle out there
In October Wizkids will release Bumuntu, a board game design all about learning from the wise creatures of the jungle.

Strategizing to fund

I have lots of kids. Board games help me connect with them, while still retaining my sanity...relatively speaking.
