Fireworks
From Board Game Babylon comes news of the latest Renegade Game Studios game, Fireworks. “This will be the fifth dexterity game in the Renegade catalog by Aza-Chen, designer of other adorably fun games such as Kitty Paw, Doggy Go!, Shiba Inu House, and Circus Puppy.” It’ll be available in September.

Games Coming From Thames and Kosmos
Thames and Kosmos is publishing two new titles in its Exit series, Dead Man on the Orient Express and The Sunken Treasure. According to ICv2.com, the company is also releasing the first expansion to Imhotep, A New Dynasty this August. “There are new monuments to be built, and players have new tools to support their work. Even the Egyptian gods are watching, and will reward players for precise accuracy, but they will also punish those who fail to meet their exacting standards. The pack includes new building site boards, new market cards, and more.”

According to a recent press release, “Asmodee Digital and Sony Interactive Entertainment are partnering to bring ‘Ticket to Ride,’ the critically-acclaimed railway-themed board game from Days of Wonder, to PlayLink for PS4 later this year.”

The Networks Expands
Dice Tower News reports that Telly Time, the newest expansion to The Networks is coming soon. “The Networks: Telly Time expansion features nine genres, three of which are new: Chat Shows, Quiz Shows, and Kids Shows. … The expansion also introduces a new “noughts-and-crosses” way to get genre bonuses.”

The heavily hyped The Mind is set to hit retail shelves next month, according to the ACD Distribution blog. “The Mind is more than just a game. It’s an experiment, a journey, a team experience in which you can’t exchange information, yet will become one to defeat all the levels of the game.”

Nikki Valens Interview
There’s a terrific interview on the Ding and Dent website with game designer Nikki Valens. “I fight very hard to for instance include different gender and orientation and racial characters in our games so that everyone can feel included because I think that that’s very important. I just want to bring as many people together with shared experiences and our love of games as possible.”

Dungeon Crawling Therapy
Over on the SyFy channel’s website there’s an article on using D&D and other tabletop games as therapy. For one therapist, “one of the groups she runs is called The Self-Rescuing Princess. It focuses on girl empowerment and lessons like how to stand up for yourself, how to be a leader, and how to work together.”
