Flipping through the Table

iSlaytheDragon review table

If you’ve been a loyal follower of iSlaytheDragon, you probably noticed all the changes around here lately.  If you’ve just found us in the past month or so, then just take our word for it – we’ve got a new look for 2014.  A very new look!

However, it’s not just a facelift.  Sure, we’ve got snazzy, new graphics and logos.  And we just added groovy avatars for all four writers (thanks to Derek from the Dragon’s partner site, iheartprintandplay).  But you’ll notice that our functionality is new and improved, as well.

Switching over to WordPress, we now have an online magazine format with increased usability.  It is more intuitive, easier to navigate, and user-friendly when exploring posts and articles by category, writer, subject, or popularity – rather than just by the old standard chronological format.  All this, and it allows us greater flexibility in the coming months to expand our scope, include guest authors, and introduce valuable features, bringing you the latest and greatest in gaming goodness.

Along those lines, today we unveil our new Table of Reviews.  This is a really nifty tool that allows you to quickly search our archives of 229 reviews (and growing) via multiple subjects.  Previously, this page was a simple alphabetical list.  It worked, but that was all you could say about it.  Now you can search through our backlog of reviews not just by name, but also by designer, publisher, release year, complexity level, and many more categories.  Just click the desired column heading to sort the table.  You’ll find it way easier, a lot quicker, and much more useful.  We think it’s kind of a cool and big deal.  So, go ahead and check it out – and don’t forget to let us know what you think!

I have lots of kids. Board games help me connect with them, while still retaining my sanity...relatively speaking.
