We have lots of Gen Con news to report and it won’t fit into one little ol’ column, so expect more to show up around these parts for the next week or so.
New Angeles
Fantasy Flight Games announced New Angeles, a game set in the Android universe for 4-6 players. “Your primary goal—and that of the game—is to increase your profits. Specifically, you need to earn more capital than your corporate rival in order to win. Your secondary concern, however, is to maintain order within the city. If it descends too far into chaos, the United States federal government will intervene, the city’s special commerce privileges will be put at risk, and you—along with the other corps—will lose.”

Rune Wars: The Miniatures Game
Rune Wars: The Miniatures Game is a “new two-player miniatures game of epic, rank-and-file warfare set in the realm of Terrinoth. … In each game, you and your opponent will gather armies of miniatures and lead them into battle—blocks of infantry will maneuver for position, cavalry wings will wheel and slam into a weakened flank, and monstrous rune golems or carrion lancers will smash through formations of lesser warriors.” It is due next year from Fantasy Flight Games.

XCOM: Evolution
An expansion for XCOM: The Board Game is due later this year. In XCOM: Evolution, players must deal with EXALT, “a paramilitary society, determined to seize power during the chaos of war, and their members have infiltrated all manner of organizations, including XCOM. This means that your war has a new front; even as you turn outward to fight back the alien invaders, you must also confront the enemy within.”

Jabba’s Realm, a new expansion for Imperial Assault, will hit retail shelves later this year.
