I didn’t do any gaming this weekend due to graduation festivities, but thanks to Twitter I was able to follow all of the happenings at Origins.
New Star Wars Destiny Booster Packs
Fantasy Flight Games announced the third set of booster packs for Star Wars: Destiny. Empire at War will be available in the third quarter of this year and “emulates the chaos found in the Star Wars galaxy during its darkest times with themes that disrupt your opponent’s board and decimate their best laid plans. These 160 brand-new cards will focus on taking core concepts of Star Wars: Destiny and throwing them into disarray.”
Origins Award Winners Announced
This weekend the Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts and Design named its award winners at Origins. According to dicetowernews.com, winners included Scythe, Happy Salmon, No Thank You, Evil!, and Mystic Vale.
Pathfinder Adventures on PC and Mac
Pathfinder Adventures has been released on the PC and Mac. According to a recent press release, “The Base Edition of Rise of the Runelords will emulate the base deck of the physical game while bringing along all six of the Adventure Decks, 11 of the iconic Pathfinder characters plus additional uncommon and rare cards.” Check out the game trailer below.
According to Dice Tower News, a slimmed-down version of Munchkin will be available in October. It “keeps the same look and feel of Munchkin, but plays faster, and with less table space, making it a perfect game for 3-4 players with an hour to spare.”
All Out Collector’s Edition
The Walking Dead: All Out War game is being released in a collector’s edition this September. According to comicbook.com, the box set will contain the complete core game and “will include a slew of exclusives and expansion packs,” including “Prelude to Woodbury Solo Starter Set, Scenery Booster, Walker Roamer Booster, Equipment Booster, Deluxe Gaming Mat: Atlanta Suburbs, Lee & Clementine Show Exclusive, Exclusive Walker Rick Miniature, Exclusive Dale Prison Advisor, Exclusive Scott Moon.”
