Digital Evolution
North Star Games announced Evolution is coming soon to PC and mobile platforms. Based on its board game predecessor, Evolution will be“ a digital card game of strategic adaptation. Species must adapt to survive in a dynamic ecosystem with scarce food and lurking predators.“

International Tabletop Day Guests
Geek & Sundry announced some of the guests for this year’s International Tabletop Day. Some of the board game industry’s biggest names will be there, including Bebo (Game Wire), Rodney Smith (Watch It Played), Jeremy Salinas and David Waybright (Man Vs. Meeple), and more.

Tabletop Day Promos and Games
Speaking of International Tabletop Day, Dice Tower News reports on some of the promotional cards and games available for the event. Promos for Castle Panic, FUSE, Aeon’s End, and Clank! will be some of those available.

Expanding Arcadia Quest
Cool Mini Or Not announced its 2017 schedule for Arcadia Quest expansions. According to, the stand-alone expansion Masmorra: Dungeons of Arcadia is already out and other titles later coming this year include Arcadia Quest: Frost Dragon, Arcadia Quest: Pets, and Arcadia Quest: Chaos Dungeon, which promises “a huge reality-bending villain that shifts the landscape and affects Heroes’ perception of reality.” Two more expansions out this year are Arcadia Quest: Fire Dragon and Arcadia Quest: Whole Lotta Lava.

Yamatai Rules
Days of Wonder has posted the rules to Yamatai. There’s also a video trailer and a look inside the box. “In Yamataï, players compete to earn prestige points using different strategies. Clear the different islands of the archipelago to recruit powerful specialists that will assist you, or use the resources carried by the boats that navigate between them to construct buildings on the islands.”

Asmodee posted a gameplay preview of Watson & Holmes via a bonus case so there are no spoilers for the actual game, which is now available for pre-order. “Choosing when and where you move, and how to deceive your opponents is a crucial aspect of Watson & Holmes, but in the end, it’s just you and the facts.”

Board Game Coloring
The Board Together folks posted a few Pandemic-themed coloring pages for the board-gaming-and-coloring hobbyists among us.

One Deck Dungeon Freebie
Asmadi Games made bonus content available for One Deck Dungeon. It’s free to download from their website. The content features “Bonus dungeon Phoenix’s Den, and guest hero Caliana Asmadi. The Phoenix’s Den is a new medium difficulty dungeon.”

Designer Diary: Gloomhaven
Over at Isaac Childres wrote about his experiences while creating Gloomhaven. “Enter Cards Against Humanity. (You weren’t expecting that, were you?) Back in 2014, they ran this sort of reality show called ‘Tabletop Deathmatch,’ and it was pretty entertaining. Not only that, but entrants on the show instilled two pretty great ideas on me that would eventually permeate into Gloomhaven’s design.”
