I had a fun family function this weekend (a Star Wars-themed birthday party, aka Best. Idea. Ever.) and I managed to sneak in a few board game plays, too. In other words, it was the type of weekend that never gets old.

Playing in the Clouds
Just announced: the latest and greatest Imperial Assault expansion, The Bespin Gambit, will be heading our way during the second quarter of this year.

Behind the Throne
Ares Games announced a license agreement with IGames and will be publishing Behind the Throne. The push-your-luck card game is expected this summer and will be released in four languages: English, Italian, Spanish, and Chinese.

Fast & Fhtagn
A “Game of Cthulhoid Street Racing,” Fast & Fhtagn will be out this month, according to this Atlas Games announcement.

New Summoners
Plaid Hat Games said to expect eight new Second Summoner decks at Origins this year.

Stronghold Release Schedule
Stronghold Games recently announced its 2016 release schedule.

Epic World Championship
Contestants at the Epic Card Game World Championship will be vying for a prize pool of $100,000, with the winner taking home $25,000 and the title. White Wizard Games will be staging the event in November.
