Wayward Cardboard
According to, Image Comics fantasy Wayward is being turned into a board game from IDW Games. “Wayward is set in modern Tokyo and focuses on teenagers imbued with supernatural powers to defend the world from Yokai, Japanese mythological creatures and spirits. The fully cooperative board game will permit players to assume the roles of the comic’s heroes, who are working together to defeat villains controlled by the game itself.”

Dice Unearthed
Unearth, a dice placement game by the creators of Boss Monster, will be released August 17th. Dice Tower News reports that “2-4 players will control a team of delvers represented by 5 dice and place them on resources or ruins to uncover ancient cities or build new wonders, competing to be the best at reclaiming a lost era. The game features beautiful isometric artwork with adorable characters.”

Pathfinder Co-Creator Resigns from Paizo
Paizo Publishing Editor-in-Chief and Pathfinder RPG co-creator F. Wesley Schneider resigned from the company on May 19th. According to, “Schneider thanked his colleagues at Paizo, and indicated on his Tumblr that ‘It’s all amicable and good stuff and I’m looking forward to what’s next.’ He said he’d continue to participate on the boards and would occasionally appear in print.”

Digital Scythe
The digital adaptation of Scythe is moving along and the Twitter account has been releasing early looks at the game.

Ashes Deluxe Expansion Sets
Plaid Hat Games previewed its upcoming Ashes Deluxe Expansion Sets. “Each Deluxe Expansion will come with its own deck box in one of two styles. The darker style will hold Namine’s deck, ‘The Song of Soaksend,’ while the lighter style is for Odette’s deck, ‘The Laws of Lions.’”

Her Father’s Daughter
Her Father’s Daughter is a short story set in the world of Legend of the Five Rings, It’s available for free from the Fantasy Flight Games website. The card game is due out at Gen Con.
