River World
River World, the new expansion to Small World, will be available at Essen in October before hitting the U.S. in November. “[P]layers will discover new maps full of water regions haunted by merciless pirates. Players will need to defend their precious harbors against them, fight them on the river, and still keep an eye on their opponents! Some regions such as the shipyard or the temple of the seer may help them to have the upper hand, but in River World, there is still not enough room for everybody.”

In Memoriam
Game designer and publisher Harold Bilz recently passed away. Fantasy Flight Games paid tribute to their long-time business partner: “With his passing, the gaming industry has lost one of its hidden giants, one always on the look-out for and ready to champion games that brought a new approach to play. Harald helped a great number of game companies and game designers get their start in Germany, yet he never stood in the way of their success or leveraged his position in their future.”

Sushi Go Digital
Sushi Go! will hit the App Store on September 8th. “The digital version of Sushi Go! will have both solo play vs. an AI, local pass-and-play multiplayer, as well as online multiplayer via Game Center.”
