The Village Square: May 19, 2016

Last night my gaming group did a good old-fashioned dungeon crawl with a digital twist, thanks to the Road to Legend app for Descent: Journeys in the Dark. Everybody enjoyed it and all I could think was, is it too early for me to start begging Fantasy Flight Games for an Imperial Assault app?

Flick ‘Em Up
The popularity of Pretzel Games’ Flick ‘Em Up has led to a Wider Audience edition to be published by Z-Man Games. The game’s new look will have a lower retail price and be published in 14 languages when it’s out this July.

Fly Casual
There’s more than one way to enjoy X-Wing Miniatures. Here are a few suggested by Fantasy Flight Games.

Long Night Look
A preview of some of the new crisis cards and character cards for the Dead of Winter expansion out later this year, The Long Night.

Game of Thrones Clue
Forget the candlestick, Colonel Mustard, and the conservatory; it’s all about the Starks, Valyrian steel, and The Red Keep in the just-released Game of Thrones Clue.

Cosmic Evil
Cosmic Evil, the second Tragedy Looper expansion, is expected to hit retail shelves in time for Gen Con 2016 this summer. It will “includes three new Basic Tragedy Scripts, and nine scripts that tackle two new Tragedy Sets: Midnight Zone and Mystery Circle.”

Sizzling Pokemon
A new Pokemon set, Pokemon TCG: XY-Steam Siege, will be released August 3. It will feature “110 cards, 8 new dual-type Pokemon, 6 new Pokemon-EX (including two Mega Evolution Pokemon), and 7 new Pokemon BREAK.”

Mad Pocket
Pocket Tactics reports that The Castles of Mad King Ludwig app should be available in two to three weeks for iOS and Android devices.

Guildhall Re-Release
Three versions of Guildhall: Fantasy are being re-released this summer by Alderac Entertainment Group: Guildhall Fantasy: Fellowship (June), Guildhall Fantasy: Alliance (July) and Guildhall Fantasy: Coalition (August).
