The Village Square: May 13, 2019

Hi friends! Did you know I sometimes play games with Becca Scott on Game the Game? Check out the play through of Tiny Towns!

Welcome to the Party, Pal
Over on BGG W. Eric Martin previewed Die Hard: The Nakatomi Heist Board Game. “Die Hard is for 2-4 players and bears a playing time of 60-90 minutes, with one player taking the role of John McClane and everyone else acting as a terrorist. The game plays out over three acts, mirroring the events of the Die Hard movie, with the actions taken in acts one and two carrying over into the final standoff.”

Painting Star Wars
Fantasy Flight Games announced three paint sets for Star Wars: Legion. “Containing a total of 34 paints, two distinct washes, and two fine tipped brushes between these three sets, you’ll have all the tools you need to take your armies to the next level.”

Coming this July is Battlelands, a “fast and furious card game of turf warfare.” According to the Plaid Hat Games website, “Battlelands is set in the world of Aftermath, an upcoming Adventure Book game from Mice & Mystics creator, Jerry Hawthorne. Battlelands offers a first glimpse into a fascinating world in which human beings have vanished, and the remaining critters now clash over their inheritance.”

Cleopatra and the Society of Architects
Dice Tower News reports that a new edition of Cleopatra and the High Society of Architects will be released soon.

Bloodborne: The Board Game
CMON offered a closer look at Bloodborne: The Board Game over on YouTube.

According to Tabletop Gaming News, Farmini is now available from Loki, the kid-friendly brand from iello. “In the game, players are new farmers looking to cultivate their farms and the animals that live therein. Just watch out for the wolf, who will chase all your animal friends away.”

History of AEG
John Zinser continues his look back at the history of AEG. “How the first AEG staff came together could be turned into a movie scene where a ragtag group of heroes karmically are pulled together.”
