Dice in space
Renegade Game Studios announced the publication of Circadians: First Light. The game of sci-fi planetary development includes dice (crew) as worker placement, resource harvesting, research, upgrading, and exploring.

It’s baaaaaaack!
The street date for Puerto Rico Deluxe edition, from Rio Grande Games, is tomorrow, the 20th!

And so is thiiiiiiiiiiiiisss one!
Legendary: Revelations meanwhile hits the streets the next day, the 21st! The add-on to the Upper Deck Entertainment deck-building hit includes heroes Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and War Machine, infamous Mastermind the Mandarin, and new keywords like Speed.

The returns just keep rolling in!
Another deluxe remake, Ravensburger’s Las Vegas Royale hits U.S. shelves this week, too. The classic game is updated bits and rules.

Revolving revolution
Resonym will release Mechanica next month, a unique puzzle-piece revolving assembly line game of building robots.

In the biz
Asmodee North America is partnering with Swiss games publisher Helvetiq to distribute their titles to this continent, including this year’s releases Kawaii and Misty.

In more biz
And in more acquisition news, though a tad smaller, St. Louis based publisher of scientific titles, Genius Games, LLC, has acquired Massachusetts publisher Artana, LLC, producer of history and techonology themed board games. Genius is know for titles like Cytosis, while Artana released Tesla vs. Edison, among others.

New indie RPG
Next month Nocturnal Media’s new Upwind role-playing game releases. The imaginative world mixes a little magic, pirating and steampunk with a unique stakes-based, playing card-drive narrative system.

That next great group?
One of the hardest parts of role-playing is finding the time and group to play with. There’s now a social app, Crawlr, currently in testing dedicated to matching RPG’ers with like-minded and like-scheduled gamers to play.

I have lots of kids. Board games help me connect with them, while still retaining my sanity...relatively speaking.
